Artist's statement

"My overall aim is to make the intangible, tangible. In my work I attempt to present opposing and conflicting ideas simultaneously, in a single piece of work. Ideas are essential to me, not just execution. I subscribe to the notion that “colours and shapes are art’s language, not its meaning”. As a result, I hope my work stimulates questions in the mind of the viewer, rather than providing answers."
