Scott Stallard is a self-taught photographer who worked in the film industry as an assistant to the film producer, Robert Stigwood.  The Image Bank/Getty Images represented Scott for ten years before he established his own stock library of more than 50,000 worldwide images. He has travelled and photographed extensively around the world.

Scott has produced seven books on Bermuda and currently has another book in production titled Three Tribes of Irian Jaya documenting a month-long expedition to New Guinea in 1997.   Scott’s images have been used in such publications as Time; People, Travel & Leisure; Golf Magazine; Elle Décor; Homes & Gardens; House Beautiful; and The Lonely Planet Guide. Scott is an international member of the prestigious Explorers Club of New York and the National Geographic Society.


Artist's statement

"As a photographer documenting unique locations around the world, my desire to share the adventure with others was accomplished
primarily by slide shows. The challenge was to portray the essence of the trip in one ‘canvas’. Collage was the enjoyable solution. Sticky, finicky and illogical, it either works or it doesn’t.
Every picture tells a story. "
