Artist's statement

"These days, when I paint, when I begin a painting, I have a combination of colours in my imagination. I’m looking for a place to put the colours I have in my mind. Later, when the colours are on the canvas, they may change or I may add or subtract. But even when they are as I imagined, they are still a surprise. Colour has always been the most compelling part for me and what I am trying to explain is how it still becomes more and more so."
