Molly Godet  (Dip Ad, BA Hons Graphic Design) received her Art Education at Hornsey College of Art in London, UK. Having graduated, she remained in London as Senior Art Director and International Creative Director for several major international advertising agencies.

Molly took up painting when she returned to live in Bermuda in 2005. She paints regularly with the Bermuda Plein Air Group and has exhibited at The Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard, the Bermuda Society of Arts and at Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art. Her work is held in private collections both in Bermuda and overseas.

Artist's statement

"I paint about Bermuda. Not the pretty pink cottage, but the pink cottage which shows its soul, be it peeling or crooked. Not the beautiful pink beaches, but the pink beaches that sport cut-foot rocks, grabbing undertow and washed-up reminders of that other world out there.

There is a stubborn willfulness about Bermuda, which no armies of landscape gardeners can delete. That is the Bermuda I strive to capture."
