Artist's statement

This epic painting is in memory of the loss of this young girl. It required ten years of study and anguish after this dreadful tragedy and its equally dreadful aftermath. It presents many associated thoughts and emotions with no judgment and few figurative clues. Its presence desires a better future through the constant reminder of the past.
